![]() ![]() ![]() This isn’t the only thread of the story though – bigger things are taking place beneath the surface and Snyder leads us through the political quagmire as we try to determine what is actually going on here. This is a frightening thing for Yelena, she has many enemies and is now completely vulnerable. Basically, and hopefully this isn’t a spoiler, Yelena is attacked and this has a drastic affect on her magical abilities. Unfortunately things go horribly wrong (even before the two meet for their romantic interlude). The story starts by getting back to basics with a meeting, albeit brief, between Yelena and Valek. The starting point for the whole world – is Poison Study. That being said I think you could certainly read each series as individually with no problem whatsoever. Firstly, I have read all the other works in this world (I think I have anyway!) and so in that respect this is a very easy book for me to fall into as I already know the world, enjoy the stories and care about the characters. ![]() Recently finished reading Shadow Study by Maria Snyder. ![]()
